Magdalena Ziarkowska-Kołacka is a deputy concertmaster of the Leopoldinum Orchestra at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław and violinist in the Huberman Piano Trio and Huberman Duo. In the years 2016-2019 she was concertmaster of the Częstochowa Philharmonic, where she had at her disposal Riccardo Antoniazzi’s violin, once owned by Bronisław Huberman.

She began learning to play violin at the Music School Complex in Włocławek, continued in Łódź, and in 2017, graduated with distinction from The Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the violin class of Prof. Jarosław Żołnierczyk.

Magdalena is a laureate of violin and chamber music competitions. In 2011-2016 she belonged to the Young Polish Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Adam Klocek, with which she performed at the most important concert halls in the country, and taking part in the MISA Festival in Shanghai.

In the years 2013-2016 she was the concertmaster of the Sinfonietta Youth Orchestra of the Łódź Region. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has participated in many festivals in Poland.

In July 2018, Magdalena undertook a prestigious concert tour, together with the concertmasters of leading European orchestras, as part of the Baltic Neopolis Virtuosi program, performing 20th century chamber compositions in Poland and Estonia. As a soloist she performs with Polish symphony orchestras.

She is actively promoting the character of Bronisław Huberman, not only with this recording, but also as the subject of a doctoral dissertation. Magdalena Ziarkowska-Kołacka is currently also a lecturer in the violin class at The Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.
