Barnaby Brown

Barnaby Brown was principal flautist of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain before winning a choral award to read music at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. On graduation he was appointed Composer in Residence at St. George’s English School in Rome.

He has been surrounded by the music of Beinsa Duono since early childhood, when his mother began teaching the Paneurythmy in Scotland. He has also spent much time prepraing new editions and developing a period performance style of the piobaireachd, the classical piping tradition of the Scottish Highlands and the Hebridean isles.
