Accademia Amiata

ensemble

The Amiata Ensemble was founded by composer Thomas Fortmann in the 1990s in Tuscany and has been successful on concert tours from its inception. The proficiency of the musicians, the high level of performances and the exceptional programmes featuring compositions by Messiaen, Bartok, Fortmann, Zappa, Piazzolla and Walton have always brought great enthusiasm among audiences and critics alike.

The ensemble has made many radio broadcasts. The founding of the original Amiata Ensemble led to the creation of the Accademia Amiata and its Festival “Toscano delle Culture”.
