Choir & Organ

Ranging from hymn-tune preludes to a sonata lasting over 20 minutes, the music has a distinctive, pleasantly astringent, somewhat un-English quality, and if it puts me in mind of anyone it is Hermann Schroeder, but only occasionally. The organ sounded well, in spite of having pipe-work from about half a dozen builders, and Robin Walker is a convincing advocate, both of the organ and the music.
