Laura Kimmel

Laura Kimmel is an experienced singer, skilled in Art Song, Opera, Oratorio, Choral, Theatre, Electroacoustic sounds, and Performing Arts. Laura is also a composer and poet, enjoying working with song writers and composers to bring their music to the world. She enjoys performing in opera, theatre, recital, and television.
In Tokyo, Japan she appeared in the St. Matthew Passion with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra at Suntory Hall in addition to appearing in various television programs there. She recorded “When you wish upon a star” for a national television commercial for the ATT telephone company of Japan. She has performed internationally including Japan and the USA. Laura appeared as alto soloist with the Champaign Symphony Orchestra in Handel’s Messiah and with the American Chamber Opera in Mendelssohn’s Elijah. At the National SEAMUS Conference she was soloist in Sever Tipei’s Curses and in the Winter Gala of Opera Fort Collins, Colorado . She also directed Mozart’s Don Giovanni for the American Chamber Opera Company in Chicago.
