Huberman Piano Trio

ensemble

Barbara Karaśkiewicz, Dagmara Swystun (previously Magdalena Ziarkowska-Kołacka) and Sergei Rysanov are three artists who, in the performance and recording of their chamber music, pay special tribute to Bronisław Huberman. Their collaboration began in the city of Częstochowa, the very birthplace of Bronisław Huberman – the brilliant Polish violinist of Jewish origin who during the first half of the 20th century was considered an absolute master of the violin. Huberman’s legacy as not only a virtuoso talent but also a great humanist, social worker and philanthropist is fostered today by the worldwide Foundation bearing his name, as well as by the Częstochowa Philharmonic, who chose him as its patron.

On the initiative of Barbara Karaśkiewicz, the three instrumentalists formed both the Huberman Duo and the Huberman Piano Trio, the names of which are an expression of their intense admiration for the great artist. Both ensembles are actively engaged in popularizing Huberman’s character and achievements through performances at the bi-annual Violin Festival in his home town, and presentations of the works he had developed and performed, amongst which are the transcriptions of miniatures by Fryderyk Chopin.
