Gabriele Micheli
Piano

Gabriele Micheli was born in Rome (Italy) on 21st July 1998. He started studying piano at the age of five; at nine he won the admission in Santa Cecilia’s Conservatoire in Rome and in 2017 he graduated in piano with honors in Prof. Elisabetta Pacelli’s class. In 2020 he
obtained the piano Master’s degree with honors and honorable mention from the same Conservatoire. In 2015 he earned the admission at the improvers course in piano in Pinerolo’s Accademy (Italy) where he studied with Prof. Gabriele Carcano until 2017. Since the same year he has been studying musical interpretation and improvement with Prof.
Pierluigi Camicia. In the A.Y. 2019/2020 he took part in the Erasmus+ program which allowed him to study at the HMT “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig (Germany), in the piano class of Prof. Markus Tomas.
From 2017 to 2019, he followed an improving class of “Tuning and piano technologies” with Prof. Mauro Buccitti. He took part in masterclasses held by acknowledge musicians as Benedetto Lupo, Gloria Lanni, Roberto Cappello, Costantin Bogino, Pietro De Maria, Roberto Plano and Atanas Kurtev.
He is a winner of numerous competitions, including: «San Giovanni Teatino» Piano competition (2006, absolute first prize); «Mirabello in Musica» (2008, absolute first prize); VIII National competition of musical performance «Città di Magliano Sabina» (2009, first prize), National Competition «CM Musica Classica» in Rignano Flaminio (2010, absolute first prize); VI Mozart International Piano Competition (2011, first prize); VIII Competition of musical performance «Hyperion» (2011,absolute first prize); “Premio Accademia 2011” (first prize); national competition «Giovani Musici» (2012, first prize); «Note sul Mare» (2012,first prize); “Premio Accademia 2014” (second prize). He took part in a fundraiser concert for Telethon; he performed a concert in Kjustendil (Bulgaria), during an international festival in honor of Victor Merzhanov. In 2019 he was the winner of the Sveva Classica
Competition – European Arts Academy “Aldo Ciccolini”, obtaining a concert with the Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese.
In September and October 2017 he held two recitals respectively in Frascati (Italy) at “Auditorium Scuderie Aldobrandini” and in Rome at the “Ex Dogana”, for the program “Solo Piano”; in the same year he participated at the program “Concerti in Danimarca”, performing
in Aarhus and Holstebro (Denmark), for the designation of Aarhus as the European Capital of Culture in 2017, in partnership with Santa Cecilia’s Conservatoire. In September 2018 he held a recital in Chianciano-Terme (Italy), inside the “Fellini Hall”; in October, he performed at the Philharmonic in Trento (Italy), running the program “Invito all’ascolto”. In December of the same year, he held the recital “ Virtuosismi al Pianoforte” in the Hall of “Policlinico Univesitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS” in Rome. In April 2019 he played for the program
“L’ esecuzione integrale delle sonate di Domenico Scarlatti in prima assoluta italiana” at “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatoire in Naples (Italy), dedicated to the best students of the Italian Conservatoires. In May 2019 he held a recital in Castellana Grotte (Puglia, Italy) in
the Picella’s Palace, running the program “Primavera al Pivot”. In 2020, he performed in the “Großer Saal” of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater ‘Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’ in Leipzig (Germany). On 25th June 2023, on the occasion of the”Festa della Musica”, he debuted
as soloist with the “Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese” (OFP) playing at the “Parco della Musica Sant’Achille” in Molfetta (Puglia, Italy).
In April 2021, he was the winner of 2nd prize in the “Ciccolini Prize Competition 2020,” obtaining a recording contract with the Divine Art Recordings Group. In addition, from the same year he began his activity as a piano teacher and composer, also writing music for documentaries and TV series.
