Davide Rossi


Davide Rossi was born in Torino, Italy, in 1970. He started to play the violin under Maestro Ivan Krivensky in 1980 and achieved his diploma at the Conservatoire “G. Verdi” in Milan in 1992.

In 1994 he won third prize at the International violin competition “G. Postacchini” in Fermo, Italy. He then moved to Copenhagen and began to undertake worldwide tours as a solo and chamber performer.

Since then he has risen to be one of the world’s premier rock violinists and arrangers, workingwith bands such as Coldplay, Goldfrapp, The Verve > and Röyksopp.

He has written and performed arrangements for Alicia Keys, Siouxsie, Dido, Moby, Recoil, Zucchero and worked with producers like Brian Eno, Markus Dravs and No ID amongst many others.

He has been part of the Goldfrapp’s live band since 2000, headlined with The Verve at Glastonbury and has a considerable number of other major achievements under his belt.
